The end of 2003 and the start of the Centenary year saw a total refurbishment of the clubhouse ready for the Centenary celebrations.

Designed and delivered by Gill and Dave Lewis, the contractors did an excellent job within the specified time limits and the clubhouse itself has never looked better.

Throughout the year all members and visitors were heard to constantly comment on the improvements – money well spent at exactly the right time for exactly the right reasons.

On a par with a round of golf at Langland Bay Golf Club is reliving the experience in the beautifully appointed, traditional clubhouse overlooking the 18th green.

In 1913 the Club's membership had reached 118, and as 34 of these were "Family Members" the number of playing members must have been decidedly elastic.

A further step forward in the Club's activities occured when the Farm Villa was taken over for use as the Clubhouse.

The premises were in a very poor state of repair, but the committee managed to make the necessary arrangements to put the building into a satisfactory condition, and on July 12th, 1913 the new Clubhouse was formally opened by Col. Morgan. In commemoration of the opening of the new Clubhouse Mr. W.T. Farr kindly presented the Club with a "solid silver challenge bowl, to be called the Langland Bowl and to be played for each spring and autumn over 36 holes medal play".

The "Langland Bowl" is still one of our major competitions, although it is now
played once per annum.
